The memory controller is optional with some StudioDesk models. 

Memory controller gives you the ability to store 4 memory heights and level your desk to the stored height with one touch of the button.

Great mood changer

The RGB lights are a great add on to a Studio desk purchase. They are cut to the right length to fit perfectly in the defuser channels built into the desk. They were easy to install. I recommend using a screen spline tool, used to install screens in windows, to push the RGB wires into the desk channels. Works great.
The included wireless remote makes it convenient to customize the mood and feel of the lights.
I would say if you’re going to add lights do your desk, these are a no brainer.
