Description

Motorized sit and stand platform designed for Professional or home recording producers.

The platform is the starting point from where you build your Orbit workstation. Orbit Workstation is Spacious, Modular, Protected, State-Of-The-Art Design, innovative features, ergonomics carefully planned to the finest details. Your perfect workstation will make everybody jealous.

Modular design allows you to create the workstation according to your needs. Each module added to the configuration gives you 2U rack spaces. If your setup grows with time and you need more rack spaces, simply add another module to your workstation. By adding up to a maximum of 3 modules your desk will accommodate a total of 6 U rack spaces. The placement of the rack modules and angle are adjustable in all directions ( can be moved front, back left, and right and fixed in place) so you are able to set it up the way you like it. Should you need more space in the central part of the desk just move side modules sideways and angle them towards you to be placed in the sweet spot.

If you want to elevate your speakers, add optional speaker shelves to your platform. Combinations give you endless possibilities.  Check available Bundles on this page.

Electric motors allow you to adjust your desk in perfect height anywhere in the range between 770 and 1200 mm. You will be able to work or play in a sitting or standing position whenever you decide so. In the configuration of three modules puzzled together, a spacious top shelf is created in a total length of 1900 mm. Which monitor setup you are going to place on top of it, we are leaving to your imagination.

Interchangeable padded armrest, angled aggressive design, lacquered surface, Aluminum cable inlay in the center of the desk, and RGB LED lights with every module are standard.

RGB LED lights installed inside the modules, lighting your space and surrounding discretely through the grills which give this desk a stunning look. Optional Swivel Speaker shelves, Adjustable in height Pull out option for Midi Keyboard is available separately or in bundles. Check accessories available on this page.

Whether you are a hobbyist, aspired musician, or music producer, the ORBIT workstation can be easily adapted to your needs and will be the workstation with features you were looking for a long time.

Terrific Desk; maybe a couple of things could be improved

I pre-ordered this desk last month, as they were out of the pull-out tray I needed. I got the two rack modules and keyboard tray, and received it when expected in perfect condition. Assembly for me was occasionally difficult, but with the help of a professional builder I know we got it done-- I assembled the electric platform myself via the newer video, and the rest with the help of the other videos on the website. It's put together solidly and looks beautiful in my studio, as well as highly functional. I like the size of this desk and everthing I have fits really well on it. The finish is lovely and the electric motor works smoothly and easily.
I have a few minor issues, none of which would bring my review score to more of a 4.5 rather than a solid 5. One of the problems we had was fitting the height adjustment module into the opening of the desk. It was impossibly tight, not going down all the way flush with the desk surface, and then to pull it out to try again was a huge struggle. Ultimately my helper sanded down the inside of the hole, which appeared to have too thick a coat of finish on it--and indeed, the Studio Desk support suggested this as a fix--we had already tried it and it worked! So I would suggest perhaps not putting any or as much finish on the inside of the hole, as it is not visible and impedes the assembly process and makes it harder.
My other issue concerns the keyboard tray--it was tricky to slide it in correctly--at one point I accidentally bent one of the metal locks on the side, but my helper was able to fix this. However it is difficult to get it in properly and it fell out several times before we were successful. Now it's absolutely fine, but I almost gave up in frustration at one point.
Another issue with the keyboard tray is that I find it's just a tiny bit too shallow for my controller keyboard--particularly because I am plugging in two pedals to the keyboard which do stick out a bit from the back of the keyboard--which is virtually unavoidable. Ideally the shelf would be just an inch or two deeper--I use a full sized keyboard designed fo studio recording. Possibly another brand of keyboard would fit a bit better. It's not a deal breaker, but I have the keyboard hanging a bit past the edge of the shelf, not enough to be a problem, but again, not 100% ideal.
My only other issue was that the light module directions were very tiny and hard to read. Fortunately there isn't too much learning needed on it, and the company supplied me with a larger print out and diagram of the light module's buttons and functions--a list of the programs would have been nice, but you can cycle through them via the buttons, so no big deal, and the lights look great.
My other positive comment is that this company has ben great to deal with from beginning to end--upon my initial inquiries, they facilitated my pre-order, delivered on time and without incident, and supported me with my many questions during assembly, etc. I rate their customer support very highly.
So in summary, this is a superb studio workstation desk, very versatile--love the ability to adjust the rack moddules--very spacious, solid as a rock, beautiful looking, and a wonderful upgrade to my studio. I will recommend this product and this company to anyone in the market for studio furniture, and thank you for your support!

Excellent Studio Platform

Really enjoying my ORBIT Electric and it works perfect for me. 5 stars on the desk. My only criticism is that the assembly instructions that come with the desk are inadequate and the installation videos online are only slightly better, they need to be updated.

High attention to detail

This desk is just on a whole other level than what I had before, sort of like comparing a kids tricycle to a Lamborghini, so as far as my knowledge goes of these kinds of desks, it's limited and I have no comparison points. Regardless of that, I decided to put some pros and cons below for anyone to read!

Note: I bought the Orbit without the racks and instead the studio monitor holders. Wasn't sure where my review should go since everything is modular.

Pros:
- Sit-stand: Goes as low and as high as needed for someone who is 5' 11"!
- Studio monitor holders are great at doing what they do. No problems holding some Yamaha HS7's!
- Quality build (from the looks of it). Doesn't seem like it will break down anytime soon.
- Attention to detail is really high with this desk. From the leather pad for your arms to rest on, to the desk inlay (it's a big desk, really appreciate being able to pass cables there), to even just the suction cups on the legs of the desk to prevent scratches on the ground... There CLEARLY was a lot of thought put into this desk.
- Keyboard rack is really strong and sturdy
- I appreciate the lack of branding on this desk and the LED's look nice!

Cons:
- Keyboard rack could go a bit deeper to accommodate more pianos/keyboards (no concerns with width/height for the most part). Could fit my Yamaha P-45 but let's just say it was a bit tight.
- Instruction video could use some work. At some points, the camera pans to someone's hands with screws to attempt to show what the screws are, but some of them are very similar to one another and the video is blurry so you can't actually tell which screw they are using. Wouldn't be surprised we put the wrong screws in a few places (likely not a big deal, but worth mentioning). Instruction manuals didn't particularly help with this either.

Other things to consider:
- I used to have a two-monitor configuration where I had one computer monitor centered right towards my face and one to the side. If you plan on putting studio monitors/speakers to the sides of the desk, that won't work anymore. Either deal with having your two monitors equally placed on the desk (so you stare into the crack of your monitors), buy some monitor arms/holders to vertically stack your monitors (will be trying this) or just go back to one monitor.
- Buy long cables for everything, it's a huge desk. I use the desk's inlay/hole to shove some cables, but if you don't want to or can't do that for some cables, then they might not be long enough.
- Buy a huge mouse & keyboard pad. Prevents potential scratches.
